President Francisco Guterres Lú Olo will be in Ermera on a working visit on 18 and 19 November.
Over the course of these two days, the Head of State will visit public schools and health centres and learn about the productive activity of the region. The programme will also include a dialogue session with local authorities and the local population, who will have the opportunity to expose their concerns with regard to national development.
In addition to the dialogue session, the programme includes visits to a mushroom production cluster, a fish farming and distribution centre, the 10 de Abril Central Elementary School, the Nino Konis Santana School (which will include a symbolic tree-planting ceremony), the maternity clinic, and the Hélio ‘Maukruma’ Pina General Secondary School.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning; the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs; the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and the Media; the Minister of State Administration; the Minister of Health; the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport; the Minister of Public Works; the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry; the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries; the Minister of Petroleum and Minerals; the Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment; the Secretary of State for Land and Property; the Secretary of State for Cooperatives; the Secretary of State for Youth and Sport; and the Secretary of State for Art and Culture.
The President has already held working visits to the municipalities of Viqueque, Covalima, and Lautém; a visit to the municipality of Baucau is planned for December.
