President Francisco Guterres Lú Olo will be in Baucau on a working visit from December 16 to 18.
Over the course of these three days, the Head of State will visit public schools and health centres and learn about the productive activity of the region. The programme will also include a dialogue session with local authorities and the local population, who will have the opportunity to expose their concerns with regard to national development.
The plan for the next few days includes visits to the Kilik Uaigae secondary school, the Caibada elementary school, a company called ACELDA Unipessoal, a group of female producers known as HAFUKU, the Aubaca elementary school, and the Eduardo Ximenes Horex referral hospital. The President of the Republic will also participate in a Christmas celebration with orphans and people with disabilities, and hand over trees to the six post administrators.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning; the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs; the Minister of Justice; the Minister of Petroleum and Minerals; the Minister of State Administration; the Minister of Health; the Minister of Education, Youth and Sport; the Minister of Public Works; the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and the Media; the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry; the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries; the Minister for National Liberation Combatants Affairs; the Secretary of State for the Environment; the Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment; the Secretary of State for Land and Property; the Secretary of State for Cooperatives; the Secretary of State for Youth and Sport; and the Secretary of State for Art and Culture.
This visit is part of the President’s initiative to visit the twelve municipalities and the Special Administrative Region of Oe-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA) to see first-hand the social, economic and political development at the grassroots level and listen to the concerns of the local communities.
H.E. the President has already held working visits to the municipalities of Viqueque, Covalima, Lautém and Ermera.
