MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT J. RAMOS-HORTA ON NATIONAL PUBLIC CIVIL SERVANT DAY
On this Nasional Public Civil Servant Day, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and profound appreciation to each of you for your unwavering dedication to our beloved nation.
Since the restoration of our independence, you have been the engine of our State—the steadfast machinery that delivers essential services to our people and drives our nation forward. Your commitment is the bedrock upon which we continue to build our democracy and our future.
This year’s theme—“Accessible, Responsive, Transparent, Fair, and Effective Public Service”—is a call to action. It challenges each of us to reflect deeply on the quality and impact of the service we provide. The work we do daily touches the lives of every citizen. Our duty to serve all without prejudice, to lead with integrity, to act with compassion, and to advance our national development with the highest standards of professionalism.
As we continue to strengthen our institutions and pursue sustainable development, let us serve with the same spirit that guided our people through the darkest chapters of our history and into the light of peace and freedom. Let us remember that the dedication we show today shapes the world of tomorrow—for our children, our communities, and our nation.

Desde restaurasaun ita-nia independénsia, Imi sai nu’udar motór ba ita-nia Estadu—mákina ne’ebé forte hodi fornese servisu esensiál sira ba ita-nia povu no lori ita-nia nasaun ba oin. Imi-nia kompromisu mak sai hanesan pilár ne’ebé ita kontinua harii ba ita-nia demokrasia no futuru.
Tema ba tinan ida-ne’e, “Servisu públiku Asesivel, Responsivu, Transparente, Justu, no Efetivu” mak hanesan apelu ida ba asaun. Ida-ne’e dezafia ita ida-idak atu reflete kle’an kona-ba kualidade no impaktu husi servisu ne’ebé ita fornese. Serbisu ne’ebé ita halo loroloron impaktu ba sidadaun ida-idak nia moris. Ita-nia devér atu serbí ema hotu lahó prejuizu, atu lidera ho integridade, atu atua ho kompaixaun, no avansa ita-nia dezenvolvimentu nasionál ho padraun profisionalizmu ne’ebé aas liu.
