Singapore, June 1, 2024. President J. Ramos-Horta held high-level meetings with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore, with the aim of strengthening bilateral ties and discussing Timor-Leste’s proposal to join ASEAN. These meetings covered various areas of cooperation between the two nations that already exist, including investment, economy, health sector, education, and bilateral relations in general.
