ONLINE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR THE 2026 DILI INTERNATIONAL MARATHON AND NATIONAL SELECTION HALF MARATHON
$75,000 USD Total Prize Fund Confirmed — Timorese Runners Enter Free
The Dili International Marathon (DIM) organising committee is proud to announce that online registration is now officially open for two major 2026 athletics events: the National Selection Half Marathon on 9 May 2026, and the flagship 2026 Dili International Marathon on 8 August 2026. Both events will take place in the vibrant capital city of Dili, Timor-Leste, and are open to Timorese and international athletes, with prize categories available for Timorese and ASEAN + nationalities (ASEAN including Japan, China, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

📅 National Selection Half Marathon
Date: Saturday, 9 May 2026
Distance: Half Marathon (21.1 km)
The National Selection Half Marathon is a prestigious event that serves as the selection race for Timor-Leste’s national athletics representatives. Registration is now open via the official DIM website.
📅 2026 Dili International Marathon
Date: Saturday, 8 August 2026
Distances: Full Marathon (42.195 km) and Half Marathon (21.1 km) 10km Para- Athletes and 5km Fun Run
The 2026 Dili International Marathon returns as one of Southeast Asia’s most scenic and celebrated road races, set against the stunning backdrop of Dili’s coastline, forests and mountains. The event welcomes elite and community runners from across the ASEAN region and beyond.

In-Person Registration for Timorese Runners
In-person registration for Timorese athletes will commence on Monday, 16 March 2026 at the Timorese Athletics Federation headquarters, located at the GMT building (behind the National University of Timor-Leste, central Dili). Athletes are required to present a valid copy of their identification document to Federation staff as part of the registration process. In-person registration is available during normal business hours.
PRIZE FUND — $75,000 USD TOTAL
The DIM organising committee is proud to confirm a total prize fund of USD $75,000 for the 2026 event in August (there are no cash prizes for the National Selection Event in May), distributed across categories as follows:
