Leading telecommunications operator to power internet connectivity for Nobel Laureates, Turing Award winners, and global innovators gathering in Dili
DILI, TIMOR-LESTE — 21 August 2026 — The Science for Development Summit 2026 Organizing Committee today announced that Telemor, a major telecommunications and digital technology operator in Timor-Leste, has joined as the official connectivity sponsor of the Science for Development Summit 2026. Hosted by the Presidency of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste under President José Ramos-Horta, the Summit takes place 24–25 August 2026 at the Dili Convention Centre, alongside the Sci-Tech Expo running 23–25 August — bringing together Nobel Laureates, Turing Award winners, heads of state, and leading global scientists under the theme “Science is not just theory. Science builds nations.”
As Official Connectivity Sponsor, Telemor will provide and support internet connectivity throughout the Summit and Sci-Tech Expo, ensuring reliable high-speed access for delegates, speakers, accredited media crews providing live coverage, and the thousands of visitors expected at the Dili Convention Centre across the three-day event.
